Job Description:
- The Human Resources (HR) Generalist works with all operational departments.
- Capable of working with people of varied technical backgrounds.
- This position supports the day-to-day HR activities including, but not limited to, recruiting, benefits, employee relations, HRIS, and new employee orientation.
- Responsible for compliance reporting and maintaining documentation of compliance activities.
- Serves as an onsite point person for employees and will provide support in alignment with organizational and departmental goals.
- Is responsible for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Will work to build relationships and work in cross functional settings interfacing with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, drafting paperwork and tracking of medical leave of absence (FMLA, STD), approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Processing and tracking of STD & LTD leaves and the unemployment process.
- Execute other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to travel when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 5 years as a Human Resource professional or SHRM/PHR certification.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks.
- Ability to disseminate written policies and procedures.
- Excellent computer skills; including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows Environment; HRIS systems will be a plus.
