KCE provided Essroc Italcementi Group several survey services including pre- and post-survey calculations, detailed stake-out, existing feature/topographic surveys of main tie-in points, High Wall Monitoring, and the establishment of an intricate system of permanent survey control in NAVD 88 – PA South zone state plane coordinate system for Essroc, the leading manufacturer of cement in North America. KCE also provided its services in support of the construction of a 1.7-mile conveyor system that included two underground tunnels and a gallery bridge 150 feet above the quarry floor. The completed conveyor system annually eliminates 162,000 truck trips per year from the local roads and state highways.
