The new St. Luke’s University Health Network Anderson Campus is located on 500 acres near the Lehigh River at the intersection of Rt. 33 and Freemansburg Avenue in Bethlehem Township. Building on its 30+ year relationship with St. Luke’s, KCE provided a full complement of civil engineering services to develop the first phase of the campus project, which is comprised of an 130,000 sf hospital, a 48,000 sf cancer center and an 80,000 sf medical office building on 40 acres. Based on a sketch plan provided by the hospital’s master planner, KCE completed detailed design of the site improvements, designed the main access road, and all highway improvements for the first phase. To assist St. Luke’s open the first phase as soon as possible, KCE designed a temporary sanitary pump station and was instrumental in getting PennDOT to permit a phased approach to the highway improvements. KCE oversaw the production of construction and bidding documents, and has provided survey support throughout the construction phase of the project.
In addition to the original hospital and associated buildings, KCE recently completed the Women’s and Babies Pavilion and the Specialty Pavilion on the same campus.
